What do the kids sleep on?

In 19 of the 22 suites it is a sofa bed in the living room; 2 have Murphy beds (some with a sofa bed too); 1 lists a sofa only. Each suite above says which.

Is a junior suite or a “family suite” enough for a family of 4?

Usually not. A junior suite is one room with a seating area, so there is no door between you and the kids, and a “family suite” is often two connecting rooms. 19 of the 41 resorts we checked had no suite that passes. See the Los Cabos suite traps.

  • Viceroy Los Cabos: The one-bedroom suites sleep two (resort); Booking.com sells them for 3 adults at most
  • Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas: The Oceanfront One-Bedroom Suite allows 3 adults, or 2 adults and 1 child
  • Grand Velas Los Cabos: The One-Bedroom Governor Suite is "ideal for 2 adults"; the Ambassador Suite is open-plan
  • Nobu Hotel Los Cabos: The Hikari one-bedroom residence allows 3 guests at most
  • Riu Santa Fe: The Suite with Sea View is for 2 guests
